ToreoVirtual is the first interactive virtual reality experience that transports users into the world of bullfighting, allowing them to experience firsthand the sensations and emotions of this ancient art. As the user interface designer, my goal was to create a platform that reflected the aesthetics and essence of bullfighting, offering an immersive, intuitive, and accessible experience for all audiences.

Interface Design Approach To capture the tradition and rustic character of the bullfighting world, I opted for an aesthetic based on weathered brown tones and visual elements that evoke the rusticity and spirit of bullfighting. The color palette includes earthy hues, with textures reminiscent of aged wood and leather, creating a visual ambiance that perfectly complements the immersive experience of the bullring.
Rustic and Authentic Aesthetics: I used a worn brown color scheme, combined with visual textures that simulate traditional materials such as wood and leather, to convey the essence of the bullfighting world.
Intuitive Interface: I designed simple menus with fluid navigation, designed to be understandable and accessible to users of all ages, from children to seniors.
Thematic Visual Elements: I incorporated iconography and graphics depicting typical bullfighting elements, such as capes, muletas, and bulls, harmoniously integrated into the interface to reinforce the thematic immersion.
VR Optimization: The interface was designed with interaction with HTC Vive virtual reality headsets and controllers in mind, ensuring that the controls are easy to use and the experience is comfortable and immersive.
My Role As a UX/UI designer, I led the conceptualization and creation of the interface, working closely with the developers to ensure that every visual and functional element contributed to a coherent, realistic, and fun experience. My focus was on maintaining the traditional aesthetic of bullfighting while facilitating simple and engaging navigation, tailored to a diverse audience.
The result was a virtual reality platform that combines authentic aesthetics, a user-friendly interface, and an immersive experience that makes bullfighting an accessible and exciting adventure for all users, regardless of their prior experience with technology or the bullfighting world.
